Interview Q&A
-
Dear Jessica, could you please tell us about your journey to having children?
-
After welcoming our first little bundle of joy into the world in the summer of 2019, we knew right away: We wanted a second baby—and preferably RIGHT AWAY! – Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite that simple. Because I was breastfeeding, my period stopped coming altogether at first. So how was I supposed to get pregnant without a period?!
After doing a little research, I came across the symptothermal method I came across it because the temperature method allows you to detect ovulation as soon as it has occurred. So I ordered a thermometer back then and gave it a try. I quickly realized that taking my temperature was a nightmare in the midst of everyday life as a mom. My temperature chart was just as much of a nightmare, because, of course, I could never take my temperature at the same time every day—or get a decent stretch of sleep, for that matter. So the thermometer ended up in the trash. -
What happened after your cycle returned to normal?
-
When my period returned six months later, I decided to give a basal thermometer another try. According to the temperature chart, I ovulated on day 18 of my cycle. Unfortunately, despite trying very hard, I didn’t get pregnant. I started doing some research because I definitely didn’t want to use a conventional basal thermometer again.
On Instagram, I came across an interesting post about the OvulaRing from one of my favorite influencers (advertisement – Aylin Moser). BINGO! A cycle tracker that could be used without any issues while breastfeeding, because unlike traditional thermometers, the OvulaRing is inserted into the vagina and measures core body temperature around the clock. -
How exactly has OvulaRing helped you?
-
What can I say? Boom—second cycle with OvulaRing and I’m pregnant!!!!! OvulaRing was able to detect my Determine ovulation. My conclusion: I love OvulaRing! The temperature sensor is inserted into the vagina using a plastic ring and worn there for 30 days. It can be removed at any time to read the data, and the measured temperatures are analyzed using the OvulaRing software. It’s so easy and hassle-free to use, and if you have any questions, the customer service team is there to provide you with excellent support and advice! (Note from OvulaRing: Reading the data is now even easier with the the new OvulaRing app.)
I’ll definitely keep using OvulaRing after my pregnancy. The great thing is that I’ve only used 2 of the 6 cycles I bought, and I can use the remaining 4 after my pregnancy. -
What are the advantages of OvulaRing for you compared to other methods?
-
I can truly recommend this to any woman who wants to use natural, stress-free birth control or get pregnant would recommend using OvulaRing. It’s really easy to use, and you get expert support every step of the way. Another thing I love about OvulaRing is that it can also help with cycle irregularities such as a Luteal insufficiency could determine. That could help some women get pregnant. In any case, I was glad to see that my cycle was fine and that we’d just had sex on the wrong day. I think every woman knows that feeling that something might be wrong as soon as it takes a little longer to get pregnant. OvulaRing definitely takes the stress out of it.
I’d like to thank OvulaRing from the bottom of my heart! – I can’t wait to meet my little one! Finally pregnant—thanks, OvulaRing!
