How does the OvulaRing method work?

Self-administration by the patient

OvulaRing is inserted vaginally no later than day 6 of the cycle and remains in place until the next menstrual period begins. The ring-shaped biosensor is easy for the patient to use and continuously measures core body temperature.

Continuous temperature measurement

Core body temperature is measured every 5 minutes and stored on the biosensor. The measured values are used to generate a high-resolution temperature curve covering the entire cycle.

Transfer to the app and practice account

The patient uses the OvulaRing app to retrieve the data and can share it with the practice account. There, the data is available in a structured format for medical evaluation.

OvulaRing’s medical algorithms use individual cycle patterns to determine the time of ovulation and fertile days. In addition, the app displays daily fertility status and a forecast of the next ovulation.

For gynecological practices, OvulaRing can assist with cycle monitoring and treatment evaluation for patients seeking to conceive. Hormonal cycle irregularities can be identified early on, potentially avoiding unnecessary tests or premature treatment at a fertility clinic.
