Health Insurance Coverage for OvulaRing
Since January 2021, the health insurance providers BIG direkt gesund, HEK – Hanseatische Krankenkasse, IKK Südwest, and mhplus Krankenkasse have been covering up to 12 months of treatment with OvulaRing. These insurers compensate the medical services and cover most of the costs for insured women.
OvulaRing is the first globally recognized digital cycle diagnostic tool that forms the basis for a personalized treatment plan for women struggling with infertility, with costs covered by statutory health insurance.
Background
Developed by gynecologist and reproductive specialist Prof. Henry Alexander and VivoSensMedical, OvulaRing enables individualized cycle diagnostics. Based on this data, a new, personalized fertility treatment approach has been introduced, aiming to increase natural conception rates and reduce the need for costly and stressful fertility treatments.
Thanks to its success in the Healthy Hub 2019 competition, OvulaRing is now part of the primary healthcare market. The Healthy Hub is a contest initiated by five statutory health insurance companies to test innovative digital health solutions.
